Everyone is special but not everyone believes this about themselves because it is more ‘logical’ to think that if everyone is special, then we’re all ordinary people. But those who go far are those who, without an iota of doubt, believe in the uniqueness of themselves.
A common trap we fall into is assuming that for something to be special, it first has to be uncommon. And so we fall into endless cycles of searching for “that one thing” we have that we think no one else does, but we’ve seen many times that even our most creative thoughts & ideas are shared - there’s always at least one other person who has thought the same! What really matters is how fast, far & well people go with those ideas.
Fulfilling your ultimate purpose here on earth will never be possible if you believe the least about yourself, it will only cripple your ability to get up & go where you’re sent. There is a healthy amount of “main character syndrome” you need to develop to be so good at what you do, holding on to the firm belief that the world is yours to conquer because more than anything, it is your belief that will births actions and the quality of actions you take - good or bad - will determine the quality of your results.
Make God your source & believe a little more in your sauce, you owe yourself that much. Happy 2024.
Overtime I have learnt to look at my self through the lens of Christ. I don't think I have enough mental capacity to keep up with the "main character syndrome". God says I am wonderful and beautiful made; that I am special. No one can tell me otherwise not even the doubting Thomas in my head. Thank you for the write up Ifeoma. It blessed me.
